Penn Manor School District receives Award of Achievement from PASBO for Lettergrade project. Charlie Reisinger, Director of Technology for the Penn Manor School District, received an Award of Achievement for 2003 for his entry titled “The Lettergrade Project: Revolutionizing Parent/Teacher Communication Via the Web” from PASBO (Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials). Lettergrade is a web-based program that provides parents with information on their student’s assignments, which assignments were completed, the grade received on the assignments, grades received on tests, and the student’s attendance in each class on a daily basis. The PASBO Awards of Achievement program is designed to identify extraordinary school management practices, proposals and publications that lead to the effective use of valuable educational resources. The criteria used for evaluating the submissions include management enhancement, originality, application, measurable benefits, applicable impact and cost effective implementation. Reisinger will be recognized at the First General Session of the PASBO Annual Conference & Exhibits at Seven Springs Mountain Resort on Wednesday, March 19.
