When are the Real Estate Tax bills mailed out?
Answer:
Tax bills are mailed out on or about July 1 every year.
Contact the tax office if you hvae not recieved a bill by July 15.

When are my Real Estate Taxes due?
Answer:
Due dates for full amount:
Discount(2%) 8/31/2007
Base(Flat) 10/31/2007
Penalty (10%) 12/31/2007
Due dates for installments:
1st Installment 8/31/2007

3rd Installment 12/31/2007
U.S. Postal Services postmark date will be considered the date paid
- no exceptions. Placing payment in the mailbox does not mean
that it will be postmarked that day. Envelopes are postmarked when received
in the main Post Office on Harrisburg Pike. To make sure your payment
is postmarked the date mailed, mail it directly from the Harrisburg
Pike Post Office.

Who should I make my tax check payable to?
Answer:
Checks should be payable to Penn Manor School District and mailed to:

Where can I pay my taxes at in person?
Answer:
Original, MICR-encoded bills will be accepted at any Fulton Bank. If
you are using a photocopy of the bill, you may only pay at the following
Fulton location: 2099 Columbia Avenue, Lancaster, PA (717-291-2691).

I pay my real estate tax by credit card?
Answer:
Yes. You can pay via the internet or telephone. Click on www.officialpayments.com
for the internet or dial 1-800-2PAY-TAX for the telephone. Our jurisdiction
code for the telephone is 4820. You will not need the jurisdiction
code for the internet.
Question:
I have an escrow account with my mortgage company. Will my mortgage
company receive the tax bill?
Answer:
All taxes go directly to the homeowner. If serviced by a Mortgage Company,
forward bill to them immediately. Retain a copy for your records.
Question:
Who should I contact about incorrect information on my tax bill?
Answer:
Errors on tax bills, such as address changes, should be reported to
the Lancaster County Assessment Office at 717-299-8381.

What is the current milleage rate?
Answer:
The milleage rate for 2007-08 is 15.31 per $1,000 of assessed value.
Question:
I disagree with my assessment value. Who should I contact?
Answer:
You would need to contact the Board of Assessment Appeals at 717-299-8381.
For the year 2008, appeal filing deadline is 8/01/07.
Question:
How do I get a receipt for the taxes I paid this year?
Answer:
If paying by mail:
If a receipt is required please enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope
along with the entire tax notice and your payment.
If paying in person at Fulton Bank:
Request teller to stamp the top portion of your bill when making payment.

My taxes are delinquent, what should I do?
Answer:
If you owe prior year taxes:
For years 2004 and prior -
contact Lancaster Co. Tax Claim Bureau to find
out the current amount due and make arrangements for payment (717-299-8232).
For years 2005 ONLY - contact BMF Law Group to find out the current amount due and make payment arrangements (1-800-529-0406).
For year 2006 - contact Lancaster Co. Tax Claim Bureau to find out the current amount due and make arrangements for payment (717-299-8232).
