Final HS Master Plan presentation April 21

April 21 is the public’s final opportunity to attend a presentation on the Penn Manor High School Master Plan.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium and will follow the same format and present the same basic information as the four earlier master plan presentations. A question-and-answer period with school district officials and the project architect will follow the presentation.

Penn Manor school board will begin discussing master plan options at board meetings on May 16 and June 6. A decision on which option to pursue is expected at the June 20 school board meeting. All meetings begin at 7 p.m.

The high school was originally built in the 1950s and partially renovated in the mid-1990s. It is experiencing deterioration and major component failures, and improvements are need to adequately meet current and future educational needs.

Four renovation/construction options, ranging from $52 million to $100 million, are being considered.
