High school project presentation March 17

On Thursday, March 17, the Penn Manor School District will hold its fourth public presentation on the Penn Manor High School Master Plan, beginning  at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

Penn Manor School Board is considering four renovation/construction options for the high school and is seeking public input on how to proceed. The school, originally built in the 1950s and partially renovated in the mid-1990s, is experiencing deterioration and major component failures. Improvements are need to adequately meet current and future educational needs.

The school board expects to choose an option by the end of the 2015-16 school year, but construction would not begin until the summer of 2019, at the earliest.

The March 17 event will follow the same format and present the same basic information as the earlier master plan presentations. A question-and-answer period will follow the formal presentation.
