Manor FFA and several of its members earned national awards recently at the National FFA Convention in Louisville, Ky.
Three members who graduated from Penn Manor High School in 2012 – Tyler Bauman, Alex Cantey and Caleb Hess – received the American FFA Degree.
Less than 1 percent of all FFA members earn that recognition, which is based on leadership skills; volunteer service; and planning, managerial and financial skills in a supervised agricultural experience.
In addition:
- The Manor FFA Milk Quality and Products team earned an overall bronze award. Member Nate Phan earned a silver medal, and fellow members Neve Consylman, Rose Drumm and Shyanne Murray each earned a bronze.
- The Meats Evaluation Team earned an overall bronze medal. Members Katey and Sammy Bleacher each earned a silver medal, and fellow members Justin High and Emily Witmer each earned bronze.
- The Manor FFA chapter also earned a Three Star Chapter Rating, the highest possible rating, based on its program of activities.
Congratulations on the awards!
