Shoot for Education raises $3,500 for wellness

The numbers are in, and last month’s Shoot for Education raised $3,500 for Penn Manor physical education and wellness programs.

The Nov. 16 fund-raiser attracted more than 50 participants, including students and staff from eight district schools, who took their best shots in the foul-shooting contest sponsored by Penn Manor Education Foundation.

Held in the high school gym, the event raised money for the Penn Manor School District Wellness Fund, which supports physical-education activities at district schools.

PMHS student Nick Lord, who raised $360, was the top student participant. The top elementary student participant was Gage Haddad, a Conestoga second-grader who raised $125. The top student team was Team Lord/Forrey, and the top adult team was Team Martin.

Thanks to all who participated!
