Sessions for parents on financial aid, 1:1 laptops today and Thursday

Penn Manor High School is hosting two important meetings this week for parents and students.

Tonight, beginning at 7, Financial Aid Night will be held in the high school auditorium. Topics include planning and paying for college and career training school, financial aid resources, scholarships, deadlines and upcoming career and college-related events.

On Thursday, Oct. 24,  at 7 p.m., a parent training and information session on the 1:1 Student Laptop Program will be held in the high school library. Staff members will demonstrate the laptops that will be issued to all high school students in January and field questions about the program. Currently, about 90 students are using the devices under a pilot program.

Additional 1:1 training sessions will be held Nov. 20 and Dec. 11.

More information on the 1:1 laptop program is available on the PM Techblog.
