The Penn Manor Marching Unit Wants You To See Red

The Penn Manor Marching Unit is proud to present this year’s field show “Red” to the community absolutely free.  There will be a community performance on Thursday, November 8th at 8 pm that will last approximately 20 minutes.  The performance will be held at the Penn Manor High School football field which is located off of High School Road in Millersville, PA.

Mr. Tom Mumma directs this year’s show, which is based on the fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood.  But do not be deceived.  This is not your typical fairy tale!  The first movement entitled Into the Woods depicts the dark and dangerous environment that the little girl, Red, lives in.  The second movement depicts the innocent and gentle nature of our main character as she navigates her way through the woods, which as we all know is no place for a little girl.  The villain of the story is introduced in the final movement of the show, entitled Enter the Wolf.

The performance is free and open to everyone. There is plenty of parking at the high school.  These student musicians have worked very hard and put in countless hours working on this show.  They have attended football games, marched in the Millersville parade, and competed in several band competitions.  This will be their last performance before heading to Hershey for the Cavalcade of Bands Championship.  This is your opportunity to see a great show and show your support to the many dedicated band members.  For more information about the Penn Manor Marching Unit, please visit the website at www.PMMU.info or email Treasurer@pmmu.info.
