School Board Members Read to Kindergarten Students
The National Association for the Education of Young Children set aside the week of April 22 as the Week of the Young Child. Penn Manor kindergarten teachers invited the members of the Penn Manor School Board to come into their classes and read to the children. All nine board members participated in the event reading their favorite books to the kindergarten students. Children love to have guest readers. I think it is wonderful that our board is dedicated to supporting the message that reading is important to our youngest learners.
