HS Student Council Sponsors Giving Tree

For the past several years, the Penn Manor High School Student Council has sponsored a giving tree in the high school library. 300 Gift tags were placed on the tree for students and staff to take to help 40 district families in need.

I am so proud of Student Council members who ran this event, including Andrea Deibert – treasurer and Mikah Farbo – President. They spent all day Saturday (12/18) helping to organize the gifts for 40 families. Also, we could never have done this without the support of other students, staff, and faculty. One staff member donated $150 in memory of Cory Denlinger, 2006 graduate who passed away in the summer of 2009. Another group – THE HUMANITARIAN club, adopted one large family (out of 40) and spent over $500 to supply them with gifts.
Oh- and I can’t forget to thank the Millersville BIC Church who purchased over 20 of the 300 tags!!
Penn Manor is blessed!
