Varsity and Junior Varsity

Coach Soto- Throughout this entire season I was encouraged by how well the team reacted to all of the changes we made. In addition to the changes, we raised our level of play, overachieved, and set new standards for years to come. I congratulate the seniors for their performance and leadership, and I challenge our younger players to build on the foundation that the 2005 team has forged. I would like to thank all supports of Penn Manor Field Hockey as we strive for greater heights.

Coach McCoy- It was exciting to see the growth the girls took over the past season. They learned the importance of teamwork, tackled new skills, and worked hard at each practice. As the season progressed you could see them begin to realize that the hard work was paying off. I hope that each girl is proud of the accomplishments of this year. As we look to next season we will encourage the girls to set new goals and continue to work hard to build on this year’s foundation.

Coach Gobrecht- The future of Penn Manor Field Hockey looks bright with a strong showing by a talented J.V. squad. The girls worked hard and were committed to making themselves better field hockey players. Their level of play continued to improve throughout the season. With many out of season opportunities this group of players will continue to improve and will be called upon next season to provide a giant push to returning varsity players. Way to go girls!!!

Varsity and Junior High

Coach Feracco- This year was a good year for the junior high comets. We had a lot of promising young girls come out for the team. Over the course of the year we had fun and learned a lot together as a team. The girls came ready to play and had a desire to win. Our best game of our season came at our second meeting with Manheim Township. After having lost to them the first time, the girls came ready to play and hungry for the win. It paid off for them; they won the game 1-0. Thanks for a fun season girls and we’ll see you next year.

Coach Myers- Thank you to the athletes, parents, and coaches, for the most memorable experience that I have ever had in my eleven years of coaching. There was never a day where I did not have fun on the hockey field. We have begun something special at Penn Manor under the direction of Coach Soto with the support of parents, community, and administration. The Junior High J.V. is the future of our program and the future is bright. We have had an extremely successful season. The measure of our success goes far beyond our fantastic record and individual stats. Our achievements are measured by the skills learned, team unity, laughter and sportsmanship. The pride and togetherness can be attributed to the great attitude and work ethic of each athlete.
