Alert Now Notifications
In 2007, Penn Manor School District began utilizing the AlertNow communications service. AlertNow provides rapid dialing technology to facilitate hundreds of simultaneous phone calls. Penn Manor will utilize AlertNow to call parents and guardians in the event of early school closings and other emergencies.
AlertNow will make two phones calls for each student based on school district emergency records. The first call is to the home phone number. The second call will be to the cell phone number of the first parent contact listed in our student information software system.
Please note that the district Emergency Information Hotline, TV, Radio and other media outlets will continue to be notified in the event of weather related emergencies. AlertNow simply provides one more method for reaching our community during times when information must be rapidly disseminated.
